A team from Network Rail, organised by Melanie Marshall, joined us at the foodbank on Monday 30th September to assist with our annual stocktake.
Together with the team here at the foodbank, the Network Rail volunteers moved, weighed and logged the stock in the warehouse. Done annually, our stocktake is an essential part of our process so that we can check the accuracy of our data on the food donations made through the year. The team weighed just over 11 tonnes of food and essential non-food items (11 tonnes and 66kg to be exact) which confirmed nothing was missing (!) and that food distributed has all been accounted for, which is an important aspect of our internal processes for stewarding the donations we have received to help people across the city.
We would like to thank the team for their herculean efforts in the warehouse.
