New collection point in central York at 29 Castlegate

A new food collection point has been created at a local recruiter’s offices, based at 29 Castlegate, York, YO1 9RN,  for the York Foodbank.

City of York Trading Ltd, through their brands, WorkwithYork, WorkwithSchools, WorkwithYorkshire & Williams + Anthony, recruit staff for the public sector, schools and nurseries and other Yorkshire organisations.  A share of profits is paid in dividends to shareholder, City of York Council.

The collection cage is now available to all as a town centre drop off point for the local community to donate food and non-food items. The cage will be in reception at the offices every day and emptied weekly by York Food Bank volunteers.

If anyone has a donation to make please feel free to use this new donation point and take your donations along to the office and add it to the collection box.

All other normal donation collection points remain.

York Foodbank promotes items that are in short supply in three ways – on Facebook, on our website and on the BankTheFood app.  All donations welcomed (out of date or open items cannot be accepted).
