Volunteer wins Castle Howard prize

28th May 2024

We were delighted here at York Foodbank recently to offer all our volunteers the chance to win a voucher for two adults to the house and gardens at the amazing Castle Howard. The team at Castle Howard offered us this to “be able to support the Food bank volunteers who do just a fantastic and essential job in our community” according to Volunteer Manager at Castle Howard, Bea Petty.

Having offered this to all our volunteers we held a prize draw and the lucky winner was Christine Roworth-Gaunt who volunteers at our Cornerstone centre (pictured). Christine is delighted to win the chance to see the Castle Howard house and gardens and the current special exhibition by Sir Tony Cragg.
